By completing this worksheet, pupils will learn what aggregates, cores, and timelines. They will find out what aggregates are and how they are sourced. They will also learn how to put events into a sequential and geographical context. Pupils will learn to visualise vast periods of time through the introduction of time as a series of layers shown in aggregate deposits. The activities in this resource will give an appreciation of how modern history is set against a much longer backdrop. The understanding of time will be presented in a visual way.
